The woman told police that at approximately 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, July 25 she visited Trader Joe’s on Boston Post Road in Darien, at which point she placed her pocketbook in the cart.
According to police, when the woman went to the front of the store to pay after approximately 45 minutes, she found that her wallet was missing. As she was going to her vehicle, the woman said that she received a call from her credit card company stating that her card had been charged for $594 at a Walmart in Norwalk.
Police said that the woman later found out that one of her cards had been used at a Costco in Norwalk. The wallet also contained $400 in cash and multiple bank cards. The stolen wallet remains under investigation by detectives from the Darien Police Department.
